Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Statement
Central Clinic Behavioral Health is committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in the workplace. We believe that DEI is unique to every community. We know that this is vital in forming a well-rounded work environment both for personnel and those who receive behavioral health services. We pride ourselves on our inclusionary environment, acceptance of differences, and providing compassionate care.
Our employees, students, residents, contractors, and volunteers are the most valuable asset we have. The collective sum of individual differences, life experiences, knowledge, inventiveness, innovation, self-expression, unique capabilities, and talent that our personnel invest in their work represents a significant part of not only our culture, but also our reputation and Clinic’s mission of equality/equity.
Our Principles
We maintain that building and sustaining diversity, equity and inclusion requires a commitment from the board and senior leadership to fully integrate DEI into our organizational culture, values, norms, and behaviors.
We align with the standards of our national accrediting entity, CARF, and mirror the values and actions of our community partners, including the University of Cincinnati: “Supporting diversity creates an inclusive community that engages, challenges, and values the contributions of all its members.”
Our Training Committee has taken the lead in “working together to foster a culture where every voice is welcomed, heard, and respected” as it develops and implements DEI initiatives across the Clinic.
We encourage and seek the unique perspectives and experiences from every client/patient/family as this helps to advance our mission.
This DEI statement will guide our hiring, employee benefits, internship/training experiences, the patient/client experience, and our workplace culture.
